Cebu-based Negros fighter Jimrex "Divino" Jaca gets another chance at a Philippine title when he meets veteran slugger Baby Lorona Jr for the vacant RP super-featherweight title on October 30 at the ULTRA in Pasig City.
The bout will serve as the chief support to the Gerry Penalosa-Mbwana Matumla bout.
This was announced yesterday by matchmaker Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde, Jr, who is putting up the card with promoter Mark Roces of Jemah Films.
The RP 130lb title has been vacated by erstwhile title-holder Bobby Pacquiao, who is now campaigning in the United States as the WBC Continental Americas super-featherweight king.
The showdown pits two southpaws in Jaca, 22, and the 62-fight veteran Lorona.
Jaca (23-1-1, 10 KO's) had previously held the RP and OPBF superbantam titles, but lost the Oriental title to Japanese Yasuo Kunimi last year after failing to make weight.
