24 HOURS AND COUNTING -- PACQUIAO REHEARSES FOR SATURDAY NIGHT'S CONCERT

Geapevine, Texas - Today after Manny Pacquiao completed his promotional business at the Cowboy Stadium, he returned to the Gaylord Texan Resort to do light training just to keep trim.

Pacquiao did a few rounds of shadow boxing and hit the mitts with Freddie Roach at a special ring set up at the Gaylord.

It was obvious that he was having a good time and was ready to go even if the fight was held today. He was just going through the motion and showing off to the delight of the few privileged people allowed inside the hall.

Pacquiao looks trim and fit to go more than 12 rounds, something of course many are predicting will not happen on Saturday. With the odds set at 8-1, many tend to agree with that prediction. They say the fight should not last over 9 rounds.

Right after the mitt sessions with Roach, Pacquiao simply wipe out his perspiration and headed to the back side of the huge hall behind where the ring is set and practiced for his concert with his band. He did that for almost over an hour before he headed back to his room.

On the lighter side, seen roaming in the hotel premises were two previous Pacquiao victims, Miguel Cotto and David Diaz. Too bad, Ricky Hatton and Oscar de la Hoya were not around. They would have completed the foursome that fell before Pacquiao in his last four fights.

Tomorrow, Friday the official weigh-in is scheduled at 5PM at the Stadium that is open to the public. Following that, an appetizer fight card will be held at the Gaylord that will feature amongst others, Filipino Richi Mepranum and Dennis Laurente.
