Rocky Fuentes goes for OPBF Crown March 9

Rocky Fuentes (24 W (KO 15)- L 6 - D 2 ) of Mambaling,Cebu City will challenge Masafumi Okubo of Japan for the OPBF Flyweight title this March 9,2010 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 24 years old Fuentes last fought during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu , scoring a third round knockout win over Pit Anacaya.
The 29 year old Okubo (16 W(KO 5)- L2-D1) won the vacant OPBF crown with a 12 round unanimous decision win over Jin-Ki Jung last April 2008 in Tokyo. He has never fought outside of Japan and fought only one Pinoy, Jojo Bardon, who he beat by 12 round unanimous decision last December 2008.
Fuentes won vacant Philippine flyweight title with 8th round TKO of Benedict Suico in 2007. He is one of the top prospects from the ALA Gym of Cebu. Fuentes fought in Japan last October 2006 and won by split decision over Yuki Nasu.
