
Delarmino beats Oraiz again in CAGE OF VENGEANCE

Cebu City - Leonard Delarmino asserted his dominance over Rodel ?Kid? Oraiz and won by TKO in 3: 02 of the first round in the main event of the mixed martial event ?CAGE OF VENGEANCE 2010? held Saturday night at the Mango Square Mall rooftop on the eve of the Sinulog Sunday festivities.
Oraiz, a former professional boxer now competing in mixed martial arts, unloaded his arsenal of power punches with revenge on his mind against Delarmino who beat him last December. But Delarmino delivered a well timed knee strike and ended the evening?s mayhem with one blow.
An octagon was used for this event in Cebu which also featured local heavy metal bands that rocked the house before and in between the fights. The fights consist of three five minute rounds.
The co-main event was the 159 lb battle between Adrian Hillana (Bacolod Submission Sport) vs Ronel Del-is (Muay Thai). Hillana won by tap-out utilizing the kimura in the very first round.
The results for the other the match-ups:
Agustin Belarmino beat Erik Regalado by tap out in 1:26 of the first round.
Rogelito Plomeda, another ex-pro boxer came off the floor to beat Johnjier Torbiso by tap-out in 3: 50 of the first round.
Rex de Lara knocked out cold Jojie Lumbo in round 1.
Albert Sumido used a rear neck choke to beat Ernie Braca in 1:45 of the second round.
Romelo Esfra, also a former pro-boxer beat Victor Catubig by TKO at the end of the first. Esfra?s blows inflicted multiple cuts on his opponents face.
Dennis Salazar won by unanimous decision over Alex Goc-ong.
Junmar Naruto Macaraya won by tap out over Kyle Co in 3:37 of the 2nd round.
Jessie Adbaba used a choke hold against Greg Rufino to win by tap out in 1:12 of the 2nd round.
Adamson Torbiso won by TKO in the first round against Vincent Faburada.
Nilrax de Cafe used a rapid two fisted attack to beat Judy Arsenal by TKO in round one.
In the evenings first bout, Rodel Calbog beat Ritchie Colina via TKO in 1:35 of the first round.
This mixed martial arts fight card was organized by Fearless Fighting Championship (FFC) and Extreme Combat Sports (ECS) and supervised by GAB's Rolando Mendoza. They plan to stage more mixed martial arts events throughout the Visayas and Mindanao coinciding with local festivals.
