Ex-pro boxer Headlines CAGE OF VENGEANCE Jan. 16

Cebu City - Rodel ?Kid? Oraiz, a former professional boxer now competing in mixed martial arts, is out for revenge against his nemesis Leonard Delarmino in the main event of ?CAGE OF VENGEANCE 2010? scheduled this Saturday January 16 at the Mango Square Mall, Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.

This will be the first time that an octagon will be used in a mixed martial arts event in Cebu. Previous fight cards utilized a boxing ring. Oraiz used to fight for the Ben Sun stable. He is now a practitioner of gymkata while his opponent Delarmino belongs to the Iloilo Capanay Biron Foundation. Delarmino beat Oraiz with a stunning knee strike in their previous encounter. They will compete for three rounds in the 139 lb category.

Also featured is the 159 lb battle between Adrian Hillana (Bacolod Submission Sport) vs Ronel Del-is (Muay Thai). There will be a total of 13 bouts with a concert of local rock and reggae bands before and in between the fights. All fights are set for three rounds.

Completing the match-ups are: Agustin Belarmino vs Erik Regalado, Rogelito Plomeda vs Johnjier Torbiso, Vincent Faburada vs Adamson Torbiso, Ridel Calbog vs Ritchel Colina, Nilrax de Cafe vs Judy Arsenal, Greg Rufino vs Jessie Adaba, Romelo Esfra vs Victor Catubig.

Event starts 6 PM with the local bands and the fights starts 7 PM.

This mixed martial arts fight card is organized by Fearless Fighting Championship (FFC) and Extreme Combat Sports (ECS). The weigh-in was held in Banawa, Cebu City and supervised by GAB's Rolando Mendoza. Also attending the weigh-in and pre-fight physical were the people behind this blockbuster promotion: FFC Pres. Alex Lopez, Dino Tormis of ECS, Atty. Mars Cutamara, Atty. Paul Sucalit and Architect Ramon Vios.

They plan to stage more mixed martial arts events throughout the Visayas and Mindanao coinciding with local festivals. This event coincides with Cebu's Sinulog Festival.
