HAPPY NEW YEAR TEAM MAYWEATHER, NOW ENJOY TODDLING IN YOUR OWN MUCK

It was a good day today.
And, how could it not be when Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino spitfire finally called their bluff and threw a monkey wrench on the whole Team Mayweather charade by filing a lawsuit?
Happy New Year Team Mayweather!
As the saying goes, “the ball is in your court” and Team Mayweather must now get off their butts and prepare to make the “restitution of their lives.”
With what they have been saying against Pacquiao in the past weeks, how can they ever win the lawsuit?
The best they can now have is an extra-judicial settlement for if they insist in going on to defend their hopeless positions in court, the damages may cause them even more.
For all you know, with what was said by Richard Schaefer and Oscar de la Hoya and the Mayweather father and son, the damages may so much that Pacquiao may end up owning the Golden Boy Promotions outright.
Not that the GBP outfit is full of misfits. On the contrary, they have good people working for the group except, the top two positions occupied by ODLH and Richard Schaefer.
But I am sure Pacquiao will not wish to take it as payment for the damages they caused him. He would rather take the personal assets of the duo who accused him of being dishonest and hit them where it hurts most…their personal pocketbooks.
They made accusations after accusations and they do not even have an iota of evidence to back up their statements! Paying up dearly is the only fair way to alleviate the damages.
Do I see upwards of $20 million for punitive damages? Or did I hear someone else say more?
Punitive damages can sometimes wipe people off and I sure hope that the negative effects will hit Pacquiao’s loudmouth accusers deep and hard.
Therefore there will be plenty of money for Pacquiao to spread around to Philippine charities involved with the homeless and the battered women and children.
Some reports indicated that Bob Arum may persuade Pacquiao to drop the charges if the Team Mayweather changes their stand on “blood testing”.
For the benefit of Pacquiao and the millions of Filipinos insulted by the accusations made by Team Mayweather, I sure hope that Uncle Bob would not do that.
If they still want to fight, just go ahead and fight them.
Pacquiao will whip Mayweather anyway be it on March 13th or anytime later in 2010 or 2011.
But do not drop the lawsuit.
The Filipinos need some form of vindication for the baseless insults thrown at them. And, the monetary gains will make the hurt a little less.
Besides, the millions to be paid by the group will go a long way in helping the charities I mentioned earlier.
Getting it from Team Mayweather will be so satisfying.
And, it would do wonders for the charities too.
