IN SEARCH OF ANOTHER WORLD CHAMPION: FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS STARTS SEP. 25 AT CEBU COLISEUM

CEBU CITY -- Sammy Gello-ani’s SGG Sports Promotions will inaugurate a series of boxing events called FRIDAY NIGHTS LIVE this coming Friday September 25, 2009 at the Cebu Coliseum. The event is headlined by the current WBO Intercontinental SuperBantamweight Champion Ramie Laput vs Phil Angcamor. This will also feature Nino Suelo of Manila against Fernando Lumacad of the ABA Gym of Digos City and Filipino-Australian Arnel Barotillo vs. Joy Pol of Leyte.

Prospects Jose Ocampo, Edward Penerio, Ivan Soriano, Anthony Sabalde and Jerwin Ancajas will showcase their talents in the preliminary bouts.The boxers will be guests at the SCOOP Forum of Bobby “Knight” Inoferio on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at the Baseline Restaurant 11:30 AM. Tickets are will only be available at the gate on fight day – September 25th – starting at 3:00 p.m. Ticket prices are at P 100.00 lower box and P 200.00 for ringside. Fight time is 7 PM.

Gello-ani, known as the Don King of Cebu, was the principal driving force towards the development and crowning of our latest world champ, WBO superflyweight titlist Marvelous Marvin Sonsona. This fight card is a continuation of his dream to produce more world champions for the Philippines.
