Pacmom.
Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao greeted Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmena a very happy birthday Sunday night during celebrations held at the SM Trade Hall at SM Cebu City Sunday night. He was accompanied by his mother, Dionisia and close friends Gov. Luis Chavit Singson and Rex "Wakee" Salud.
The mayor was serenaded by local bands and treated by a dance number by Cebu's champion Dancesport team. The event was attended by Cebu City officials, baranggay captains, councilors, various national politicians and senators but it was the Pacquiaos who stole the show.
Manny was mobbed by hysterical fans even he went out briefly for a toilet break. Mother Dionisia brought the house down with her boogie dance number played to the tune of the Little Richard classic "Tutti Frutti". The highlight of the evening was the Pacman singing a duet with Pinoy pop icon Danny Javier of the APO Hiking Society. They sang Pacquiao's hit songs "Lahing Pinoy" and "Para Sa Yo ang Laban Na To."
Mayor Osmena reminisced about the time he was hospitalized for bladder cancer during the time Pacquiao fought Oscar dela Hoya. Pacquiao called him up after scoring the earth shaking upset victory and told him, "I won my fight so now you must win yours."
Mayor Osmena said that Pacquiao's presence was the best birthday gift he ever had.
