The protagonists for Thurday?s Triple WBO title fight card made weight during the official weigh-in held at the GV Hotel in Cebu City. WBO Intercontinental Jr. Featherweight Champion, Ramie Laput ( 37 W ( 20 Kos ) ? 3 L ) will face the veteran and former world champion, Ratanachai Sor Vorapin ( 74 W ( 49 Kos ) ? 11 L ) of Thailand. Laput was all smiles and confident about his chances after the weigh-in against the battle hardened Thai.

Vorapin won the WBO Bantamweight world title in 2004 via unanimous decision over Cruz Carbajal. He lost the title to Mexican Jhonny Gonzales by seventh round TKO in 2005. One of the very best moments in Vorapin?s career was his 2001 victory over the popular American Danny ?Kid Dinamita? Romero. Vorapin won by ten round majority decision in a fight held in Madison Square Garden in New York. He is now eight years and thousands of miles away from that magical night. Can Vorapin recapture some of his old magic this Thursday?

Undefeated prospect Marvin ?Marvelous? Sonsona (12W-0L, 11 KO?s) will face former two-time WBC interim world titlist Wandee Singwancha ( 57 W (12 KO?s) ? 10 L ? 1 D) of Thailand for the vacant WBO Oriental Flyweight Title. The 29 year old Singwancha has twice won interim WBC world titles. In 1998, he won by 12 round majority decision against Rocky Lin of Japan for the WBC interim minimumweight world title and in 2006 he beat Juanito Rubillar of the Philippines by 12 round unanimous decision for the WBC interim world lt. flyweight belt.

Johnreil Casimiro of the Omega Boxing Gym will defend his WBO Asia - Pacific Jr. Flyweight Title against Arden Diale of the Almario Boxing Stable of Manila. Jason Egera will face another Thailander Petch Kokietgym in an eight round battle. Undefeated KO artist Anthony ?Rocky? Marcial will fight Jack de Asis in a ten round contest.

There will be seven more bouts in the undercard which will start at 5 P.M.: Bantamweights Roberto Udtohan vs Jose Ricaforte, Superflyweights Jovanie Marinduque vs. Daniel Ponce Belocura, Jr. flyweights Ricardo ? Jun-Jun? Claveria vs.Jason Canoy, Superflyweights Edwin Frial vs Marco Demecillo Featherwieghts Joebert de los Reyes vs. Jeffrey Segara, superflyweights Marvin Mabait vs. Jerome Buntog and minifyweights Edward Enerio vs. Jestoni Tunacao.
