AJ Banal scored a stunning second round knockout win over Mbwana Matumla in the main event of the "Tuloy ang Pagsubok" fight card Saturday night at the Cebu Coliseum. He tried to get up but could not beat the count. Official time 2:59 of the 2nd. Banal is expected to be fighting in the undercard of the Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Floyd Mayweather blockbuster match.

Czar Amonsot struggled against Morris ?Virus? Chule of Kenya but won by a close unanimous decision. The Kenyan landed with effective jabs and right hand leads in the early rounds as Amonsot looked sluggish and was unable to put punches in bunches. Chule was able to absorb Amonsot's head shots and landed clean counter punches. The restless crowd tried to push Amonsot to stage a rally and expressed their displeasure on a few occasions. The Kenyan started to slow going into the 8th round as Amonsot was able to land punishing body punches. Chule looked ripe for the taking in the last two rounds but Amoncot could not finish him off.

Jason Pagara continued the ALA Gym's winning streak over Indonesian boxers with a third round TKO win over Hero Katili.
