MANILA HOTEL HONORS DONAIRE

Manila, Philippines:- Early Monday afternoon, the management of the famed and historical Manila Hotel through Senator Joey Lina and Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim honored Nonito Donaire Jr in recognition of his amazing feat Sunday morning at the Araneta Coliseum. Donaire retained his IBO flyweight crown via a devastating performance that lasted a mere four rounds. He stopped Raul Martinez of Texas, USA.

Senator Lina and Mayor Lim presented Donaire and his lovely wife Rachel a giant souvenir Manila Hotel clock.

? I now need a new large house to hang this one?, Donaire told this writer as he and his entourage walked out of the hotel on the way to lunch plus a bit of Rand R.

This writer was also informed by reliable sources that the City of Manila will have a motorcade around the city to showcase Donaire as well as the new IBF Light flyweight champion, Brian Viloria. Denver Cuello who won the WBC International minimum weight title and super flyweight Drian Francisco will be in the motorcade as well.

Sunday afternoon after the fight, the Manila Hotel also tendered a a?congratulatory cocktail party? for Donaire and Viloria at the Roma Salon of the Manila Hotel. Donaire and Viloria and their teams were there as well as their families and friends. Some fans hanging out at the lobby were invited in as well.

After the cocktail party, a thanksgiving dinner at the Kamayan Restaurant in Quezon City was hosted by Nonito and Rachel.
