Bradley Survives Two KDs to Beat Holt by UD

Timothy Bradley, the WBC super lightweight champion grabbed the WBO title from Kendall Holt tonight at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada. Bradley won via a unanimous decision with the judges scoring as follows: 114-112 ,115-111 and 115-111.
Bradley (24-0-0, 11KO) was knocked down in the first round by a perfectly timed counter left hook from Holt. He went down but immediately stood up. Realizing that he had more time to recover, he went down on one knee again and waited for the count of 8 before he stood up.
Bradley also was KD in round 12 by another left hook. He did not fall but his right gloved touched the canvas in his efforts to balance himself. Thus the referee, gave him a standing 8 count.
In spite of the two KD?s Bradley however outworked Holt in all the middle rounds thus gaining the nod of the judges. Holt landed the harder punches, but Bradley scored more hits.
The defeated dropped Holt to 23-3?0 (13KO?s) who now has to go back to the drawing board to re-charge his boxing career.
Bradley indicated that it was his conditioning that kept him on the fight and he recovered from the first two KD?s ever in his life because of it.
Holt on the other hand admitted being disappointed but knew that he was outworked in the middle rounds.
Bradley and Holt were mentioned as possible opponents for Manny Pacquiao, but judging from their performance tonight, they may have a long way to go before they get to the level of the Pacman.
In fairness however, Bradley could be a good tune up opponent for Floyd Mayweather before the Pretty Boy hopefully meets Pacquiao towards the end of the year.
