Here is an interesting bit of trivia for boxing fans: Leyva's trainer, Raul ?Jibaro? Perez, fought Luisito Espinosa in Japan October 1995. Louie beat him by first round KO and then fought Manuel Medina to win his second world title two months later.Perez was already an ex-champ during the time he fought Espinosa. He won the WBC bantamweight title in 1988 and the WBC superbantamwieght title in 1991. He has been a trainer now for five years. Perez praised the host city which he describes as ?muy bonito?.
