IT?S NOT ALL WORK FOR THE PHILBOXING CREW

Los Angeles, CA:- As reported previously, the main crew of Philboxing is in town to cover the Dream Match at Las Vegas.

The crew arrived early in order to cover more ground and at the same time have some fun on the side. After all as the saying goes:- ?All work and no play make John a dull boy?!

Dong Secuya had a chance to go to New York with a friend of PhilBoxing, Carlos Costa of Panama to witness the Jones-Calzage fight at the Madison Square Garden. The two had a ball at the Big Apple in the short weekend they spent there. ?We really had an experience, Secuya said to this writer. ? Even the taxi drivers fascinated me. They are so different from any one I saw before. The same is true with the New Yorkers. They always seem to be in a hurry,? he added

Salven Lagumbay on the other hand got to stay at the Bay area with another PhilBoxing writer/photographer, Jun Laquindanum who owns a huge property near San Francisco.

Last Tuesday, Secuya, Lagumbay and Edward Ligas (who arrived after the two came in to LA) spent a fascinating day at the ?happiest place on earth?, Disneyland. The trio were guests of Joni Davis, a former bank executive at Cebu who now works for Disneyland. Davis is now based at Anaheim near the world famous entertainment park.

Previous to these adventures, Secuya, Lagumbay and this writer were at Las Vegas to see the Donaire-Mthalane fight.

Yesterday, all for of us were at the Wildcard Gym to see Pacquiao train. During the training, we were invited to go to the Palazzo and visit with Pacquiao.

Before we went to the Pacquiao condo, all four of us went on a small shopping trip at Costco somewhere near the Los Feliz area in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, due to technicalities, we were not allowed to purchase anything. We were not Costco members.

Then we proceeded to Best Buy to check out the computers. Actually, that?s all we did?check out the computers. However, the guys plan to be back a day after Thanksgiving to take advantage of the opening of the Christmas shopping days and buy a new Sony notebook.

The crew plan to cover all the fights this week end even if it means they are separating from each other.

The four of us were supposed to go tomorrow to Morongo Casino to cover the Michael Domingo-Rocha fight. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to some health issues on the part of Domingo.

All four of us will be travelling to Las Vegas tomorrow to cover the Bautista fight under the Hatton-Malignaggi fight.

On Thursday, November 27th it will be Thanksgiving Day. The Philboxing crew will spent dinner at my humble abode together with my family.

Stay tuned for more about the reports and the exploits of the Philboxing crew.
