A FIRST CLASS ACT

Los Angeles, CA: Remember Manny Pacquiao bending over the fallen David Diaz and trying to help him get up from the canvas where he just sent him with a flurry of punches?

Well, the same thing happened again last night at the Mandalay Bay Hotel Events Center.

Oh no, its not exactly how Pacquiao did it, but for all intents and purposes, it is just as heart warming as the Pacquiao act.

Right after the fight was called off by the ring doctor between Nonito Donaire and Moruti Mthalane of South Africa and the blood has been wiped dry by his manager, Mthalane received a visit from Donaire in his corner.

Donaire talked to him about how impressed he was with what he brought to the ring and even said that he too may be a champion someday.

But better than that, he expressed genuine concerned about Mthalane when he motioned to the referee to check the cut over the left eye of the South Africa slugger. ?I did not want to hit him anymore?, he later said after the fight.

Such a genuine act of kindness from Pacquiao and now from Donaire is what really separates the Filipino champions from the others.

They are not only true champions to the letter, they are kind human beings too. Unfortunately, they are boxers and their business includes hurting the other guy.
