It was an exciting night of boxing at the Naga Sports Complex in Cebu. Ramie Laput scored a devastating third round TKO win over Mongkolchai Singmanassak of Thailand and grabbed the interim WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight title. Laput started strong and rained 1-2 combos on his hapless opponent. The Thai was stunned by a powerful right in the 3rd canto and was pinned in his own corner unable to answer Laput?s barrage prompting the referee to halt the bout at 1:32 of the round.

Marvin Sonsona continues to attract attention as another heavy handed southpaw from Gensan by scoring a second round TKO win over Joel Rafols. Sonsona launched a terrifying two fisted attack that had Rafols grimacing from the body blows even after the fight was stopped.

Sonsona won the vacant WBO As-Pac Youth flyweight title. His record is now 8 wins no losses with 7 KO?s.

In the supporting main event for the interim WBO Oriental flyweight crown Fernando Lumacad started strong against Thailand's Saensaknoi Nor Muangklang and landed the more accurate shots. But the Thai still held his ground. Lumacad started to fade and by the tenth his blows lost their sting. The Thai finished strong in the final two rounds of the twelve round encounter.

The result was a disappointing split draw.

In the other supporting bouts:

Minimumweight Ryan Tampus won by a stunning 49 second first round knockout over Reil Mandate.

Ronald Castrodes won via spilt decision over Fabio Marfa in an entertaining eight round superflyweight bout.

Jestoni Pepito was the more powerful puncher and had an easy time beating Korean Joon Woon Choi via unanimous decision over 4 rounds in their superbantamweight fight.

In the first bout of the evening, featherweight Rolando Magallano won his pro debut via 4 round unanimous decision over Dison Cag-ong.
