OH NO, PACMAN STRIKES AGAIN!

Los Angeles, CA:- Deja vu, the French would say.

This morning bantamweight contender, and former NABO champion Vernie Torres called our offices sounding exactly like Bernabe Concepcion some three weeks ago; - distraught.

?Doc, laki problema ko. May laban ako sa Sabado sa Vegas pero yun mouthguard ko sinira na Pacman?. (Doc I?ve got a huge problem. I have a fight on Saturday and Pacman chewed up my mouthguard).

D?j? vu? So what else is new at the Palazzo apartment about Pacman, the dog??

Torres? mouthguard is new. In fact it was made about three weeks ago about the same time when our offices made one for Bernabe Concepcion to replace the one Pacman, the dog destroyed Now, we have to make one for Torres again!

It is not our business to tell the dog?s handlers at the Palazzo what they should do while the real Pacman is back home in the Philippines. Not do we mind making free mouthguards for Filipino boxers.

But, Pacman, the dog needs some serious behavioral modification training before he really does some substantial damage.

What if Pacman the dog gets hold of the real Pacman?s gym bag and chews it up and everything in it including his lucky mouthguard? What if he does it at the day of the fight? Pacman, the dog as everyone close to the Team knows, goes to Vegas and stays at the Pacquiao suite too.

Photo shows the destroyed gold colored mouthguard (top right) and the replacement orange and red mouthguard.

While it would not take much effort to make him a new one, no matter what our offices will do, we will never be able to replace his favorite mouthguard that helped him win so many significant fights including the WBC super featherweight title against Juan Marquez and the WBC lightweight title against David Diaz. And, that is not to mention the victories against others like, Morales, Barrera, Larios, and Solis.

Now that Pacman, the dog struck again perhaps who ever is in charge of the dog at the Palazzo should make some serious efforts to rectify the situation.

The timing could not be better. Pacquiao is not at the apartment so the handlers have lots of time to take care of the issue. By the time Pacquiao comes back to LA to begin training for his December fight with who ever Arum places in front of his face, the training of the dog will be over and he can be brought back home to play with is master.
