Paciones defeats Laspoña, retains WBO Oriental flyweight title

ARVIN Jhon "The Sniper" Paciones hit more body blows against Richard "TheBadz" Laspoña to retain the WBO Oriental flyweight title last night, May 24 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
It was a fiery start as both fighters threw lots of punches.
The 21-year-old Paciones, however, landed more telling blows than Laspoña.
Paciones, who is rated WBO No, 5, remained undefeated with 13 wins with seven knockouts and no defeat or draw.
Laspoña suffered his first setback after 11 wins with seven knockouts.
Meanwhile, undefeated Zyvyr John “Blitz Kid” Medecillo stopped Japan’s Tatsuro Nakashima in the 9th round to bag the vacant WBC International minimumweight title.
The “Triple Threat” event was promoted by Cucuy Elorde of UKC Pro Boxing Edition and Lennon Tsoi.
