In February 2023, Aira Villegas suffered a heartbreaking quarterfinal loss in the 74th Strandja Cup in Bulgaria at the hands of France’s Wassila Lkhadiri. This time at the biggest sporting event of the world at the Paris Olympics 2024 in France, the Filipina took her revenge.
