LONG BEACH, CA (June 17, 2024) – Tayden “The Butcher” Beltran (8-0-1, 4 KOs), the undefeated lightweight prospect from Huntington Beach, CA, will headline CBN Promotions fight card this Saturday June 22, 2024, at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. Beltran will battle Cesar Villarraga (10-9-1, 5 KOs) in a scheduled 8-roun main event bout. The entire event will be broadcast live in 160 million homes on Fubo Sports, Fox Deportes, Stadium, Gray TV, and tape delayed on Estrella TV.
Here is what Beltran had to say about his upcoming matchup with Villarraga, his recent training camp, fighting in his first main event, and more:
On his recent training camp:
“I had a very productive training camp this time around. Everything we worked on showed up in sparring and I dominated a few sessions. All the nutrition was perfect, and my weight is on point. I’m going into this fight feeling really strong.”
On his matchup with Villarraga:
“I just know he’s a durable guy with over twenty fights and he’s only been stopped once. My goal is to come out and execute the game plan we’ve put together and come out victorious by all means necessary. If I hurt him at any point, I will go for the knockout.”
On fighting in his first main event:
“I’m really excited to be fighting in my first main event, especially at home on national television. A lot of people will get to know my name and my fighting style after this fight. I bring a lot of action to the ring and I can’t wait to perform for the fans.”
On what a win will do for his career:
“A win against a crafty veteran like Villarraga will help me climb the rankings. I’m hoping a victory will open doors to bigger and better fights.”
Doors open and at 5:30 pm PT and the festivities will commence with a live WATCH PARTY showing MEXICO vs. JAMAICA for the COPA AMERICA 2024 beginning at 6:00 pm PT on FOX Deportes – drink and food specials will be available for FUTBOL & BOXING! The first bout starts at 8:00 pm PT.
