Experienced WBO #6, former ALA fighter Sultan "Zorro" Sultan (19-6, 11 KO's) of Zamboanga del Norte might climb the ring as the oddsmakers favorite when he fights rookie Japanese fighter Riku Masuda (3-1, 3 KO's) this coming Saturday, February 24, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

On paper, the 32-year-old former world-title challenger "Zorro" Sultan - a man who can boast victories over former champs Sonny Boy Jaro and John Riel Casimero - should have enough experience and class to deal with the fighting effort of the younger home boy warrior Riku Masuda.

However, how many times have you seen the unheralded, unknown and unexperienced pull the unthinkable and get the win? That makes this fight interesting. Plus the fight that the rumble will unfold in Masuda’s backyard.

"Sultan vs Masuda" is a non-title 8-round fight in the bantamweight division.

The interesting battle is one of the supporting bouts for the hot title clash between Japanese champion Takumi Inoue and Jerwin Ancajas.

The southpaw 増田陸 Riku Masuda, 26, is handled by the show's promoter, Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions.

Meanwhile, Sultan – who used to be promoted and guided by legendary Boxing promoter don Antonio L. Aldeguer – is now managed by MP Promotions.

WILL THE YOUNGER LOCAL KID RIKU MASUDA OUT-SMART AND OUT-BOX "ZORRO," GRABBING FROM HIM HIS COVETED WBO # 6 WORLD RANKING?

Could Masuda indeed rock and knockout Sultan, a skilled fighter who has never been stopped in 25 fights?

OR WILL SULTAN GET THE JOB DONE SATURDAY IN JAPAN, SCORING A SUCCESS IN THIS 3RD FIGHT IN THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN?

May the Best Man Win!!
