GENERAL SANTOS CITY ? Magandang araw po sa inyong lahat. Sana ay nasa mabuti kayong kalagayan saan mang panig ng mundo.
Natapos ko na ang unang linggo ng light training para sa laban namin ng kampeon ng mundo na si David Diaz kasabay ng pagtapos ko rin ng mga subjects ko sa kolehiyo at sa Lunes, pupunta na ako sa Los Angeles upang pormal na umpisahan ang training namin ni "coach" Freddie Roach sa Wild Card gym.
Nakatakda rin kaming magkita ng American-Mexican na si Diaz sa Martes sa Los Angeles para sa isang press conference upang i-promote namin ang laban na gaganapin sa Mandalay Bay Casino Events Center sa Hunyo 28.

I know from watching the DVD copies of his previous fights that he never gives up and never lets up even if he is behind or ahead in the scorecards.
Alam ko rin na mas likas na mas malaki si Diaz kaya naman ginagawa ko ngayon ang paga-adjust sa bagong timbang na aking susuungin. Hindi naman matangkad si Diaz at halos pareho lang ang aming height kaya sa 135 pounds na labanan, hindi rin magkakalayo ang aming pangangatawan.
Pinatunayan na rin ni Diaz na kaya niyang sumabay sa mga magagaling na boksingero dahil tinalo na niya minsan si Zab Judah sa isang pre-Olympic qualifier, ayon sa mga report ng aking tagasaliksik.
I come to win my every fight and I have never underestimated any of my opponents in the past and I always come to the fight, ready for whatever my opponent brings to the ring. I know Diaz is the champion. He should have the heart and pride of a champion. But I am also determined and I hate losing because the hope of millions of my countrymen is on my shoulders. That's what makes this fight more lethal.
Bago ako aalis patungo sa US sa Lunes, balak ko munang um-attend sa turnover ceremonies ng bagong Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff na si Lt. Gen. Alexander Yano, dating pinuno ng Philippine Army na kung saan ako ay isa ring sundalo na may rank na master sergeant. Congratulations po ulit, sir!
