Mark John Yap on the scales in Dubai.

In a hot rumble, Jadier Herrera (5-0, 5 KO's) of Camaguey, Cuba, grandson of revered Cuban boxing legend 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist Angel Herrera Vera, trades heavy artillery against Pinoy former OPBF champ "The Journeyman" Mark John Yap of Cagayan de Oro City for the vacant WBA Asia South Super Featherweight Title Saturday February 26 at the plush Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, U.A.E.

The 19-year-old Jadier Herrera fights to follow the steps of his grand-father hero boxing legend, a man who captured gold in Montreal 1976 and Moscow 1980, plus amateur world boxing championships in Belgrade and Munich. Jadier just wants to make his old man proud.

Meanwhile, the Filipino Mark John Yap, plans to use his wider, richer combat experience in defeating the younger, unproven Cuban, but stalking him wisely, landing damaging hands to the body and head, causing havoc on the energy tank of the lanky boxer from beautiful Cuba.

Will Mark John impose his cleverness and ring knowledge to take that Asian Belt tomorrow in Dubai? Or will the Cuban, who has breathed boxing since he was a baby, will have the heart to dominate a tested warrior as the Pinoy from the Ciudad of Golden Friendship?

Doors at The Lawn, Emirates Golf Club, open 6 PM (Dubai Time).

Best of Luck Mark John Yap!!!
