FUNDORA DEFEATS GARCIA BY UD

In a battle of two undefeated superwelters, The 'Towering Inferno' Sebastian Fundora of Coachella, California, won by unanimous decision over Sergio Garcia of Cantabria, Spain on the main undercard of the Gervota Davis vs Isaac Cruz WBA lightweight championship at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA Sunday (Monday in Manila).
The 6'5½″ Fundora, as usual, used his height and reach advantage to outpoint the 5′ 11½″ Garcia who tried to make the fight into a brawl but the Towering Inferno also fought fire with fire when needed. Scores after twelve rounds: Tom Carusone 115-113, Lou Moret 118-110 and Alejandro Rochin 117-111 all in favor of Fundora.
Fundora now improves to 18-0-1, 12 KOs while Garcia absorbed his first defeat and drop to 33-1-0, 14KOs.
