A battle of two New Yorkers opened the curtains in the highly anticipated Loma-Lopez undisputed lightweight championship at The Bubble at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Saturday night (Sunday in the Philippines).
Both entering the ring in their second professional fights with one win apiece, Jahi Tucker, from Deer Park, get the better of Charles Garder, from Bufallo, winning by unanimous decision in ther 4-round welterweight battle. All three judges gave all the rounds to Tucker, 40-36.
Tucker notched his second win (2-0-0) while Garder suffered his first defeat (1-1-0).
