LOS ANGELES -- Amidst all the hustle and bustle at the Wildcard Gym generated by the many boxers who train at the famed Hollywood gym, Bobby Pacquiao quietly does his thing.

To this day, in spite a modest success in his own career , BobPac understandably lingers behind the shadow of his more famous brother Manny. Manny is at the top of the ladder far above where BobPac is.

But being second fiddle does not bother BobPac at all. ?Iba ang landas namin? (we have a different path to our destiny) BobPac once told me. It is for that reason that he continues to grind his way to success?in his own little way.

Today at the Wildcard , that is exactly what Bobby was doing.

BobPac went through the required routines under the supervision of Nonoy Neri and sparring (with Freddie Roach keeping an eagle eye on the proceedings) with people who just like him are still in the quest for a bright spot in boxing.

BobPac sparred six round to day. Three rounds with a tough Latino boy straight from Salinas, California. His name is Elroy Perez and he is good 130 pounder. He certainly gave BobPac a run for his money, occasionally sneaking in punches that connects and catches his attention.

He also sparred with another young boxer, a fairly good and strong kid named Bruce Marquiz. BobPac and Marquiz really mixed it up good and after three rounds, Marquiz appeared to have ended on the short end. His nose was bleeding.

"Laban ko doc sa March 13th sa Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Sana supportahan mo rin ako," ( I will fight on March 13th at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino. I hope you will support me) BobPac said.

Of course I will be there at the Hard Rock on March 13th. How can I not support a nice guy like Bobby?

BobPac is scheduled to trade leathers with Urbano Antillon. Antillon is a lightweight . He is now based in Maywood, CA but was born and raised in Maniquipa, CH, Mexico. He is undefeated in 21 fights and he sports a record with 14 KO?s.
