Former Interim world champion Randy Petalcorin will be fighting on Sunday, October 20, in General Santos City against fellow Filipino Arnold Garde, Petalcorin's co-manager Peter Maniatis has updated Philboxing. Maniatis earlier informed that Petalcorin was fighting Wichet Sengprakhon of Thailand on October 19th in a Manila card to be televised by ESPN5 which has now been shelved.

Petalcorin (33-3-1, 23KOs) lost to Felix Alvarado of Nicaragua for the vacant IBF light flyweight title October last year but came back in the win column when he stopped Worawatchai Boonjan of Thailand in the third round last June.

Garde (10-8-3, 4KOs) of Davao City lost four of his last five fights one of those was a unanimous decision loss against undefeated Hayate Kaji of Japan on March 27 this year in Tokyo.

The October 19th event will be promoted by Sanman Promotions of JC Manangquil. Petalcorin is being sponsored by Ultratune Service Center in Australia whose executive chairman Sean Buckley is an avid combat sports supporter.
