Bobby "The Sniper" Pacquiao is being groomed to see action in the huge Dubai card being put up by promoter Noli Eala on March 27 at the UAE city.
Pacquiao will face Argentinian Roberto David Arrieta for the IBF Intercontinental superfeatherweight title, sources say.
The Pacquiao-Arrieta fight will certainly add glamor to the already explosive line up to be co-headlined by IBF/IBO flyweight king Nonito Donaire and WBO minimumweight ruler Donnie Nietes.
"There's a group of people with deep pockets who used to bring in basketball teams in the past who now wants to stage big-time boxing here," said a source from Dubai who requested anonymity.
According to the source, the event will have three world title bouts in the line-up, with the third bout still being under negotiation.
"One thing is sure, this card will probably be the biggest and most ambitious card being put forth overseas involving Filipino boxers," said the source.
