Boxing continues to thrill fight fans in the Indian City of Dreams, Mumbai, with the latest show staged last Saturday, April 20, at the Marine Centre Boxing Academy, a riveting evening of combats organized by enthusiastic promoter Devraj Das and sanctioned by PBC India (Professional Boxing Commission of India).

In the exciting main event, undefeated Indian welterweight Sunny Chauhan (5-0-1, 2 KO's) and 25-year-old Suresh Kumar of Hisar, Haryana -- both pictured in the above photo during Friday's weigh-in -- engaged each other in a non-stop action war that ended in draw, fans clamoring for a rematch.

In the co-feature, power-puncher Jitender Nandal, 24, stopped the brave Amol Kamble for a chapter two TKO win. Actions reigned intense and rough during the first stanza, but in the second round, Nandal's power made the difference.

With crushing combinations, the Indian big Lion Nandal poured mean leather on the brave Kamble, forcing the PBC third man to end the battle.

In another collision, minimumweight warrior girl Jyoti Singh edged the quick Priyanka for a split decision win. The rumble unfolded in the center of the ring with both fighting women demonstrating speed, heart and technical skills. At the end, however, the victory by a razor-thin margin was for Jyoti Singh. It could have gone either way.

In attendance during the evening of boxing were PBC India president Captain Partho Das with his right-hand man Vice-prez Vimal Chandra Punera. The PBC fight supervisor was Darsak Pawase. Also on duty were PBC Judge Archit Shivdas and PBC Administrator Parikshit Bhadoriya.

The High commissioner of PBC, John Glozier, commended boxers and the officials of PBC India for the entertaining show, encouraging all to keep up the good boxing.
