Mashantucket, Connecticut -- Everything that needs to be accomplished prior to the fight tonight has been done.

This morning, at 9:00 am Nonito ?Flash? Donaire and his challenger, Luis Maldonado had their required second weight in under the supervision of IBO. Under the rules, Donaire or Maldonado can not weigh more than 122lbs . Ten pounds is all that is allowed past their agreed upon weight limit of 112lbs. Both Donaire and Maldonado came in within the limit.

After the second mandatory weighin, Donaire and his family including this writer has a huge breakfast at the Festival Buffet inside Foxwood Casino. Donaire loaded up on protein and carbohydrate-rich food washed down with orange juice.

IBF/IBO World flyweight champion Nonito Donaire, Jr. (2nd from left) and challenger Luis Maldonado (2nd from right) pose after the final weighin.

After breakfast, he took a walk around the Foxwoods holding hands with his girlfriend Rachel to allow his breakfast to digest. Afterwards, he went back to his room to rest for the day and get set for the fight tonight.

Humble as he is, Donaire is not making any predictions save for the fact that he will give his best during the fight for his family, himself and his country.

?I will do my best to get the outcome that the people like,? he said.
