MANILA -- DISCIPLINE is one of Nonito Donaire's secret weapons to success.

The Filipino world flyweight champion is confident to weigh 112 lbs. on Friday (Saturday RP time) before he step in the ring to defend his titles against Mexican Luis Maldonado on Saturday, December 1 (Sunday, Dec. 2 RP time) at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut.

"I'll be in good shape in the weigh-in. I eat healthy and I don't get tired in the gym that's why my arsenal is a lot stronger than Maldonado's," the Filipino Flash Donaire said in a press conference held in New York last Sunday.

The 25-year-old Donaire who trained in Cebu said that he's really excited to list Maldonado's 2nd loss because their match will be aired live in Solar Sports and GMA-7 dubbed as affirmation and will also be shown on closed circuit TV inside the Araneta Coliseum during the "Payback" boxing card featuring Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista against Antonio Meza.

"My countrymen watch my fight in a delayed telecast, now I'm more inspired because they will watch me live." The IBF and IBO flyweight champ Donaire is pointing in his knockout victory over Vic Darchiyan.

Donaire who is half-inch taller than Maldonado has a record of 18-1-1 with 11 knockouts while the latter has 37-1-1 with 28 knockouts.

Meanwhile, it will be a spectacular sports-viewing week for Solar Sports, as they will be airing the Julio Cesar "Latin Fury" Chavez against hometown hero Ray Sanchez match on Dec. 9 (10 A.M.) at the Tingley Colisuem in Albuquerque.
