CHANGSHA, CHINA- Filipino prospect Jay-R Raquinel (10W-0L-1D,7KO?s) will risk his unbeaten record when he takes on Wulan Tuolehazi (8-3-1,4KO?s) of China this Friday at the Changsha Civil Work College Gymnasium. They will battle for the vacant WBC Silver flyweight title.
The 21 year old Raquinel currently holds the OPBF flyweight belt. His last two fights were in Japan where he beat Japanese boxers Keisuke Nakayama (KO9) and Shun Kosaka (KO4). The 25 year old Tuolehazi is coming off a big win against Thai Watana Phenbaan last July in Qingdao. Tuolehazi decked the Thai in four rounds for the WBO Asia Pacific interim flyweight title.
Both boxers made weight during the official weigh-in held at Changsha?s Ramada Hotel.
The card?s main attraction will be two huge men- WBO Oriental Heavyweight titleholder ?Big Bang? Zhang Zhilei will defend against Don Haynesworth of the United States. The six foot six Zhang stepped on the scales at 258.2lbs while Haynesworth was at 277.4lbs.
This will be another golden opportunity for Zhang to perform in front of his home fans in China. He won a silver medal for his country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the super heavyweight division.
Most of Zhang?s pro bouts are in the United States but last January 2017, he fought in Zhijiazhuang,China and beat Australian Peter Graham in a single round.
Haynesworth?s last two fights in North Carolina ? against Hassan Lee and Willie Perryman ? both ended in four rounds. His name opponent would be Bryant Jennings, who stopped him in three rounds.
Supervising for the WBO is Samson Iu of Macao.
The rest of the card will feature China?s Wang Zhimin vs Indonesian Hero Tito for the WBC ABCO lightweight title, Yang Xingxin (China) vs Rivan Cesaire from Australia by way of Cameroon for the WBA Asia welterweight title and Wang Jiangzheng (China) vs Panya Chompoophuang (Thailand) for the WBA asia cruiserweight title.
