Maasin City, Southern Leyte ? The official weights for tomorrow's Pinoy Pride 44: Laban sa Leyte got underway here Friday afternoon at the jampacked Maasin City Bus Terminal / Gaisano Metro with the two WBO regional title fights participants easily made their respective weights.

World title contender and local boy 'Prince' Albert Pagara stepped the scales exactly at the junior featherweight limit of 122 lbs while his opponent Laryea Gabriel Odoi of Ghana came in two lbs under at 120 lbs. Pagara and Odoi will dispute the WBO Intercontinental Jr. Featherweight title.

In the co-main event for the WBO Oriental Jr. Featherweight title, knockout artist Jeo 'Santino' Santisima who hails from Aroroy, Masbate, weighed in at 121 lbs while his opponent Likit Chane of Thailand, came in at 120 lbs.

Both WBO regional championships are scheduled for 12 rounds.

The championship bouts were supervised by WBO vice-president for Asia-Pacific Leon Panoncillo Jr.

In a big disappointment during the weighin, comebacking Jason Pagara came in at 159 lbs, 12 pounds over the contracted weight limit of 147 lbs while his opponent Wellem Reyk of Indonesia was on the dot stepped the scales at exactly 147 lbs. Jason Pagara and Reyk will go at it for 10 rounds or less.

For 10 rounds bantamweight bout, former world title challenger Arthur Villanueva weighed in at 120 lbs while his opponent Renren Tesorio came in at 117 lbs.

For another 10 rounder junior flyweight bout, former world title challenger Melvin Jerusalem of Bukidnon weighed in at 109 lbs while his opponent Philip Luis Cuerdo of Mandaluyong City stepped the scales at 110 lbs.

The official weighin was supervised by Rolando Mendoza of the Games and Amusements Board with ring physician Rene Bonsubre Jr examined the boxers before the weighin. Maasin City mayor Nacional 'Nico' Mercado was also present in the event making sure everything was going smoothly with the logistics and security.

The first bout will start Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. At the Maasin City Gym.
