Havas Media Asia Pacific hits knockout punch for ?Fight of Champions? worldwide* media and commercial rights

21 May 2018 (Singapore) ? Havas Sports & Entertainment, a division of Havas Media Asia Pacific, has been appointed as the International Media Rights and Commercial Partner by fight promoters MP Promotions and Events for the highly anticipated ?Fight of Champions? World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight Championship featuring Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse on 15 July 2018.

The deal covers worldwide* distribution across the Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and Africa and includes media rights across all platforms and devices including television, broadband, mobile, radio and in-flight rights.

Havas Sports & Entertainment will also oversee a comprehensive range of sponsorship opportunities for the ?Fight of Champions?. This includes Pacquiao and Matthysse?s marketing rights, event and venue branding, as well as on-air sponsorship.

The WBA regular welterweight champion title fight is expected to attract interest from around the world, pitting the Filipino boxing superstar against the Argentinan knockout artist. Pacquiao, 39, who has won eight world titles in a record eight weight divisions, will take on 35-year-old Matthysse, who has 39 wins including 36 by knockout against four defeats.
