In an exciting clash, Clyde Azarcon (13-1, 4 KO's) of the Big Yellow Boxing Stable outpointed tough Davae?o Bonjun Loperez (10-9-1, 5 KO's) to claim the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) 105-lbs belt Wednesday night at the gym of Florance Technological College in the seaside paradise municipality of Anda in eastern Bohol.

Throughout the battle, the 24 year-old Bonjun Loperez was the aggressive, come-forward, fan-friendly warrior, but Azarcon used his effective hit-and-run technique to pile-up points throughout the 10-round encounter. At the end of the duel, two of the judges saw Azarcon winning by comfortable margins of 97-92 and 96-93; although one judge scored the fight for Loperez.

Clyde Azarcon, 23, is trained by Big Yellow Boxing Gym head coach Christopher "Ping Ping" Tepora of Danao, Cebu.

The co-main event saw Bukidnon Jr. Flyweight Mark Vicelles (8-0-1, 5 KO's) keeping his undefeated record intact by overpowering local Boholano Roldan Sasan (5-1, 3 KO's). The TKO came during the rough action of round 2. The third man in the bout was Sir Angelito Piquero.

In a supportive bout, Richard Rosales was successful in his 8-round war against Delfin de Asis (the southpaw boxer with last name of a Saint). The 24 year-old Rosales worked out better throughout the clash, earning a well-deserved unanimous decision. With the win, the friendly Rosales of Talibon, Bohol, comes back to the winning column. Referee Sir Delbert Pelegrino of Bohol was the man in charge.

The first fight of the evening, local Bohol bantamweight Anthony Galigao (7-11, 3 KO's) scored a 6-round unanimous decision win over journeman Rogen Flores (14-42-6, 7 KO's) of Dipolog. The referee was again Sir Angelito Piquero.

The entertaining card in Anda Bohol was an effort of Kap Flor Garcia Boxing Promotions in coordination with veteran manager/promoter/matchmaker Sir Edgar L. Ricafort of Jimdomar Boxing. The card was sactioned by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB).
