CEBU CITY ? Undefeated professional and multi-titled amateur Kevin Jake (KJ) Cataraja has promised to give 100% of his time to boxing from now on after he has finished his college studies earning a BS Criminology degree at the University of the Visayas. Cataraja who is 7-0 with 6 knockouts, will headline ALA Promotions 'IDOL 3' boxing event at Cataraja's hometown in Tabuelan, Cebu on June 16. He will face Indonesia's Frengky Rohi.

?I was not focused on boxing 100% before because of my studies,? Cataraja, who fights at superfly and whose last fight was in September last year, told the Cebu boxing media at Park Social restobar Thursday. ?But now I look forward to develop my boxing career further and aim to fight the best fighters in my division.?

It is only fitting for KJ to reinvigorate his career by fighting in his father's birthplace in Tabuelan. KJ is the eldest son of Marciano and Jovelyn. He has two other brothers and a sister. Although he was born in the big city, many of his relatives live in the rustic town up north. ?I am inspired to fight in front of my relatives and friends,? said Catajara who wants to emulate his boxing idols Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire and his stablemate and many times sparring partner Donnie Nietes.

Cataraja vs Rohi is scheduled for 10 rounds super flyweight non-title bout.

Also fighting on the card is up and coming superbantam Virgel Vitor (12-1-0, 7KOs) of Bohol who will face grizzled veteran Gerpaul Valero (22-20-4, 16KOs).

Another undefeated ALA Gym fighter will also be on the card. Chritian Bacolod (8-0-0, 6KOs) of Cebu City, will face Ronnie Tanallon (10-7-1, 2KOs) of General Santos City.

The fights will be shown on ABS-CBN's sports channel at a later date.
