Thai star Srisaket Sor Rungvisai retained his WBC world super flyweight title with a majority decision win over Mexican challenger Juan Francisco Estrada at The Forum in Inglewood, California Saturday night (Sunday in Manila).

The fight developed into a tactical fight between the lefty defending champion Rungvisai and the orthodox Estrada but the Thai piled up points in the first half of the fight by being more aggressive as Estrada could not penetrate inside at the stronger Rungvisai.

Estrada poured it all up in the last two rounds as the Rungvisai appeared to slow down but his rally came short in the eyes of the judges.

Cathy Leonard had it 115-113 and Steve Morrow 117-111 for the Thai champion while Dave Moretti scored it 114-114 draw.

Rungvisai thus continue to stand tall among the world's super flyweights by now defeating in succession two of the best pound for pound fighters in the lower weights in Chocolatio Gonzalez and Estrada.
