CITY OF NAGA, CEBU ? WBO Asia-Pacific Youth champion and WBO No. 1 ranked minimumweight Robert 'Kapitan Inggo' Paradero of Bukidnon who sports an undefeated record of 15 wins with 10 knockouts, is inching closer to a world title shot when he takes on former foe Ian Lugatan of Laguna tomorrow night at the Enan Chiong Activity Center here in one of the featured matches for Saturday's ?Enkwentro Dinhi sa Naga: The Rematch? that also headlines brothers Vic and Froilan Saludar.

Paradero, 21, defeated Lugatan (6-9-2, 3KOs) by unanimous decision on April 2, 2106 in General Santos City and another win tomorrow would most likely set him up against No. 3 ranked Janiel Rivera of Puerto Rico for the right to become the mandatory challenger to WBO minimumweight champion Ryura Yamanaka of Japan.

Paradero said he was inspired to know that the opportunity to fight for a world title is within reach. ?Paningkamutan nako nga maayo ang resulta sa among away ni Lugatan. Nakita nako ang duwa ni Yamanaka. Tan'aw nako makaya ra nako siya? (I will try to have an impressive result against Lugatan. I saw how [world champion] Yamanaka fights. I think I can handle him), Paradero told Philboxing.

Kapita Inggo Paradero stepped on the scales Friday in City of Naga.

During Friday's weighin, Paradero weighed in at 107 lbs while Lugatan came in at 114 lbs, way over the division limit, for their 10-round minimumweight clash.

In the main event, WBO No. 2 ranked and former world title challenger Vic Saludar (15-3-0, 9KOs) of Polomolok, South Cotabato, will rematch with Lito Dante (14-8-4, 7KOs) of Valenzuela City. Saludar defeated Dante by unanimous decision when they met on April 2, 2106 in General Santos City for the WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweight title. Vic Saludar will be waiting in the wings as his stablemate Robert Paradero edges closer to challenge the WBO world minimumweight title-holder.

In the other featured matchup for 10-round flyweight, Froilar Saludar (26-2-1, 17KOs) rematches with Rogen Flores (14-39-6, 7KOs). In their first encounter on April 12, 2014, Saludar stopped Flores in the second round. Saludar, who had fought world contenders Komgrich Nantapech, McWilliams Arroyo and Takuma Inoue, looks to have another impressive outing to be in the mix with the world's top flyweights in his next fights.

Froilan Saludar weighed in at 117.75 lbs while Flores came in at 118 lbs for the 10-round scheduled super flyweight contest.
