LOS ANGELES -- Manny Pacquiao, fresh from a unaminous 12-round decision last Saturday over the Mexican legend, Marco Antonio Barerra, was set to arrive home in the Philippines on Friday, October 12th.

News reports indicate that the people at NAIA have been preparing for Pacquiao?s arrival on that date.

In fact, even Mayor Alfredo Lim of Manila was set to welcome the Filipino great on the same day with welcoming ceremonies set the City Hall Quadrangle so more fans can see the Pacman.

Late tonight (LA Time October 8, 2007) however, this writer received a call from Pacquiao?s LA PR man indicating that Pacman?s schedule has changed upon request of certain very important people in Manila.

The Pacman will take the PAL flight PR 103 tomorrow evening from LAX arriving in Manila on Thursday morning, October 11, 2007.

Take heed, Philippines! Get ready and roll the red carpet. Our boxing hero is coming home!
