World title contender Jason Pagara, who will be featured on the Milan Melindo vs Hekkie Budler IBF world title fight on Sep. 16 at Cebu's Waterfront Hotel & Casino, will face a new opponent after Richmond Djarbeng of Ghana, Pagara's original rival, backed out after he was involved in a road accident last weekend.

ALA Promotions, Pagara's promoter, was informed by Team Djarbeng that Richmond had to cancel his trip to the Philippines after he suffered face and leg injuries and was advised to rest.

Pagara (40-2-0, 25KOs), ranked No. 3 by the WBO in the junior welterweight division, will now face James 'Onyi' Onyango of Nairobi, Kenya in a 146 lbs catchweight non-title fight for 10 rounds. The hard hitting Onyangco has a record of 23 wins with 19 stoppages, 11 losses and 1 draw and has been fighting as a welterweight.

Meanwhile Hekkie Budler and his team were scheduled to arrive in Cebu Wednesday, 10 days ahead of his date with defending champion Milan Melindo. Team Budler will face the Cebu media Thursday morning, Sep. 7 at the Radisson Hotel.

The blockbuster card will also feature a IBF junior bantamweight world title eliminator fight between former world champion Johnriel Casimero and ALA Gym fighter Jonas Sultan, both from the Philippines, with the winner tabbed to challenge Filipino world champion Jerwin Ancajas.

Another mouth-watering matchup will be between comebacking two-time world title challenger Arthur Villanueva and world title fight veteran Richie Mepranum.
