Super featherweight Recky Dulay (9-2-0, 6KO) of Catarman, Northern Samar was scheduled to fight Panamanian Jaime Arboleda (10-0-0, 8KO) Friday night as part of the televised Golden Boy Promotion?s LA Fight Night at the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles. But Golden Boy Promotions on a short notice decided to put up the fight at the famed Forum at Inglewood instead.

The fight will now be an undercard of the twin title fights on Saturday July 15th between Miguel Berchelt vs. Takashi Miura for the WBC Super Featherweight title fight and Jezreel Corrales vs Robinson Castellanos for the WBA Super Featherweight belt.

During Friday's weighin, Arboleda came in at 140.2 lbs while Dulay stepped the scales at 135.4 lbs.

The promoters wanted a ?bigger exposure? for the Dulay-Arboleda fight and they indicated that to Team Dulay when they called regarding the change of venue early Friday morning.

Team Dulay took the rescheduling as a double edge sword. Could it be perhaps the GBP moved the fight to put more exposure on their new fighter from Panama who could possibly join the mix of super featherweights they will be featuring at the Forum? An emphatic win for Arboleda will certainly help.

Arboleda has not fought in the US but has a very promising career based on his 10-0-0, 8 KO record. PhilBoxing correspondent Carlos Costa of Panama informed that he has seen Arboleda dating back in his amateur days and emphatically told us- ?don?t bet against Arboleda?.

But Team Dulay took the move positively even knowing that they are a huge underdog.

?You can never tell what will happen on the ring,? stated trainer, Rodel Mayol, a former WBC lightweight champion. ?I am very familiar with the role of the underdog and what can happen in the ring. Remember the Duno-Gonzales fight?,? he added.

?We had a great training camp and we are 100% ready for this fight. A win for us will bring nothing but better things, so we welcome the changed of venue. Perhaps this is the break that we have been dreaming of as a team,? said Mayol.

The only bummer, as Mayol stated is the fans and supporters of both fighters who already bought tickets expecting the Dulay-Arboleda fight will be at the Belasco will be left holding the bag. They just have to buy another ticket at the Forum box office tomorrow in order to see Dulay vs. Arboleda fight thus putting an extra dent in their pockets but additional revenue for the promoters. To some, even the cheapest Forum Fight ticket at $25.00 may be hard to produce.

The Berchelt vs. Miura,?a 12-round fight for the WBC Super Featherweight World Championship, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Zanfer Promotions and Teiken Promotions.?Corrales vs. Castellanos?is presented by Golden Boy Promotions.?Smith vs. Barerra?is presented by Star Boxing in association with Main Events.
