
EARLY RESULTS FROM LAS VEGAS: WILLIAMS, BAUZA, MURTAZALIEV, GOGOKHIA REMAIN UNDEFEATED

Las Vegas -- Early fights on the undercard of the Andre Ward vs Sergey Kovalev unified world light heavyweight title rematch at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino Events Center here Saturday afternoon saw undefeated prospects Tramaine Williams, John Bauza, Bakhram Murtazaliev and Enriko Gogorkhia won their respective bouts.
In the 4th fight scheduled for 8 rounds in the super featherweight, Tramaine Williams (pictured above) (11-0-0, 4KOs) of New Haven, Connecticut dropped Christopher Martin (30-9-3, 10KOs) of Chula Vista, California in round 1 and in round 2. After numerous unanswered punches, Referee Kenny Bayless stopped fight at 44 seconds of round 2.
In the third fight, John Bauza (7-0-0, 4KOs) (top photo) of North Bergen, New Jersey drops Brando Samudo (5-5-0, 2KOs) of San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in round one and again in round two of their 4-round scheduled welterweight bout. Referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight after 2nd knock down at 1:14 of round two.
In the second fight for 6-round middleweight bout, Bakhram Murtazaliev (9-0-0, 7KOs) of Grozny, Russia dropped Alex Sandro Duarte (12-1-1, 9KOs) of Guaruja, Sao Paulo, Brazil two times in round 1. Referee Robert Byrd stopped the fight at 1:33 of the round after the 2nd knockdown.
In the opening bout scheduled for 6-round welterweight match, Enriko Gogokhia (5-0-0, 2KOs) of Georgia won via unanimous decision over Jonathan Steele (7-1-0, 5KOs) of Dallas, Texas. Scores: 59-54, 59-54, 60-55 in favor of Gogokhia.
