CEBU, Philippines ? The Philippines' longest reigning world champion Donnie 'Ahas' Nietes had to take off his underwear to make weight as he and his Thai opponent Komgrich Nantapech stepped the scales at the flyweight limit of 112 lbs during the official weighin held at Robinson's Galleria here Friday ahead of their IBF world flyweight championship fight Saturday night at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino headlining the 'Pinoy Pride 40' boxing event.

Nietes (39-1-4, 22KOs), first scaled at 112.4 lbs then tried again to register at 112.2 lbs before he took off his underwear to finally weighed 112 lbs. Nantapech (22-3-0, 15KOs) breezed in at 112 lbs during his first try to the scale.

?No, it's just the underwear putting the extra weight. It's nothing,? Nietes said afterwards.
