CEBU CITY ? Filipino boxing legend Donnie 'Ahas' Nietes, who headlines Pinoy Pride 40 at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino on April 29 together with budding stars Mark 'Magnifico' Magsayo and Jeo 'Santino' Santisima, held a public workout at SM City Cebu Sunday night.

The trio did skipping ropes, balls, jumps and mitts routines in front of a huge adoring weekend crowd who afterward made a beeline to have photo-ops for the ALA Gym mainstays.

Nietes (39-1-4, 22KOs) , who reigned as the WBO world champion in the minimumweight and junior flyweight in the last 10 years, is poised to annex a third world title in as many divisions when he battles Thai contender Komgrich Nantapech (22-3-0, 15KOs) for the IBF world flyweight championship.

On the undercard, the undefeated Magsayo (15-0, 11KOs) takes on Tanzanian Issa Nampepeche (24-7-4) while knockout artist Jeo Santisima (12-2-0, 11KOs) will face Master Suro (11-8-1) of Indonesia.
