CEBU CITY ? Omega gym boxers Jhack ?El Capitan? Tepora and Christian ?The Bomb? Araneta kept their unbeaten records and made it a very short night for their Indonesian opponents.

The southpaw Tepora shook Yon Armed with a right hook in the opening seconds of the fight and sent him on the back foot with a left to the abdomen. Tepora?s trainer and brother Pingping Tepora pleaded and screamed for Jhack to pace himself and not swing wildly but sensing that his opponent was hurt, the defending WBO Oriental junior featherweight titlist cornered Armed and fired a hard left to the midsection sending the Indonesian down in the neutral corner.

Referee Atty. Danrex Tapdasan signaled the end at the 1:16 mark of the opening canto.

Tepora notches his 20th win and 15th KO, Armed drops to 14-8, 6KO?s.

Araneta won the vacant WBO Oriental light flyweight title with one punch against Demsi Manufoe.

Manufoe seemed petrified from the opening bell and was frantically circling the ring trying in vain to stay away from Araneta.

But Araneta had no problem cutting the ring off and sneaked in a left uppercut sending Manufoe down. Referee Tony Pesons reached ten at 1:41 of the first round. Araneta is now 14-0,12KO?s, Manufoe drops to 11-7,8KO?s.

Supervising the WBO bouts and awarding the belts was WBO VP for Asia-Pacific Leon Panoncillo.

Promoter Pio Paulo Castillo spoke to the members of the media present after the fight card and promised to bring tougher opponents for his prized fighters, mentioning either Mexicans or highly ranked local boxers.

Most of the supporting bouts however, were action packed and competitive:

Jessie Cris Rosales? investment in body punches in the opening round paid off when he stopped Jerry Nardo with a cracking body shot in the second round. Tine ? 0:26.

Salatiel Amit beat Renerio Arizala by unanimous decision in a slam-bang ten rounder. Scores ? 98-92 from Arnie Najera and Arnel Pasion, 99-91 from William Manus.
