CEBU CITY ? WBO Oriental junior featherweight titlist Jhack ?Sparrow? Tepora was one of the thirteen professional prize fighters recognized during the 35th SMB-SAC Cebu Sports Awards held Tuesday at the SM City Cebu.

Tepora, (19-0,14KO?s), who also acquired the WBO Youth Asia-Pacific belt in his division last year, received a citation, together with his stable mate Kenny Demecillo, who holds the WBF Asia-Pacific bantamweight title.

Tepora will face Indonesian Yon Armed (14-7, 6KO?s) at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino this March 18.

?I had a very good training camp for this fight,? Tepora told this writer before the start of the awards sessions, ?I am now winding down my training, my sparring sessions will be shorter now.?

?I had a slight fever days ago,? Tepora added, ?But it was nothing, I continued to train.?. He has also been adding laps on the swimming pool for his regimen.

He did not make any KO predictions but he stated that he is ready to put a good show for the fans. The card billed as ?WHO?S NEXT? 4? will be Omega Sports Promotion?s first venture into the traditional big fight venue here in Cebu after staging their fight series in malls and at the Mandaue Sports Complex.

Also set to see action at the Waterfront is another undefeated Omega gym boxer Christian ?The Bomb? Araneta (13-0,11KO?s), who will face another Indonesian, Demsi Manufoe (11-6,8KO?s) for the vacant WBO Oriental junior flyweight title.

Kenny Demecillo (12-3-2,7KO?s) on the other hand will travel to Hong Kong this Thursday where he will face his biggest test in former contender Mark Anthony Geraldo (33-7-3,15KO?s) for the WBO Oriental bantamweight belt on March 11.

Another Omega boxer, Jason Canoy (26-6-2,19KO?s) will go to South Africa for a March 31 battle against unbeaten Mzuvukile Magwaca (17-0-2,10KO?s) for the vacant WBF world bantamweight title.
