
?LABAN PINOY 3? BOXERS MAKE WEIGHT

GEN.SANTOS CITY ? Sanman/Amoy boxer Jade Bornea and ALA gym boxer Raul Yu had no trouble during the official weigh-in held Saturday at the Sydney Hotel in Gensan. They are set to clash for the IBF Youth super flyweight title.
Bornea (right of top photo)stepped on the scales at 113lbs while Yu was at 112lbs. Both are expected to easily make it during the second weigh-in Sunday morning considering both were below the 115lb limit. International Boxing Federation (IBF) rules state that a second weigh-in will be held on the day of the fight with the boxers not exceeding 10lbs over the division limit.
This will be a crucial battle for the 22 year old Yu (9W-1L-2D, 8KO?s) and the 21 year old Bornea (6W-0L,4KO?s), two young up and comers with fine records. The IBF weigh-in was supervised by Fritz Gaston.
The fight card billed as ?Laban Pinoy 3: Rise of the Champions? will also feature three WBF titles.
Eden ?Sanman? Sonsona (35-6-2, 12 KOs) weighed 130lbs while Jovany Rota (9-9-0, 6 KOs)(left of photo) stepped on the scales at 127lbs. They will fight for the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International super featherweight title.
"Iron" Ben Mananquil (12-1-2, 3 KOs) was at 117lbs while Glenn ?The Rock? Porras (29-5-0, 17 KOs) weighed at the division limit of 118lbs. They will battle for the WBF International bantamweight crown.
Renren Tesorio (15-9-3-4 Ko?s) ? 115lbs vs Sanman's Lolito ?Thunder Shot? Sonsona (20-1-4-, 9 KOs) ? 114lbs ? for the vacant WBF Asia super flyweight title.
The WBF weigh-in was supervised by Lito delos Reyes.
Former WBA interim world light flyweight champ Randy Petalcorin (110lbs) is also set for his non-title contest against Mark Anthony Florida (111lbs).
For the rest of the undercards: Mike Plania (120lbs) vs Jetly Purisima (118lbs), Jayson Mama (111lbs) vs Jeffrey Alejandre (110lbs), John Moralde (130lbs) vs Philip Parcon (135lbs), Ernie Sanchez (131lbs) vs Richard Betos (134lbs), and Ou Yuzhou (133lbs) of China vs Holly Quinones (129lbs).
This fight card will be held on Sunday February 26 at the Lagao Gym of Gen.Santos City and presented by Sanman Promotions. It will be shown on a delayed basis on Solar Sports.
