
TRIPLE WBO TITLE BOUTS IN SUZHOU DEC. 23

SUZHOU, CHINA ? Ismayl Sillah of the United States and Andrey Knyazev of Russia made weight for their twelve round battle for the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific cruiserweight title.
Sillah (24W-3L,19KO?s) was at 196.75 lbs while Knyazev (14W-4L,8KO?s) stepped on the scales at 200 lbs.
The 31 year old Sillah was born in the Ukraine and is a former NABF light heavyweight champion. The 30 year old Knyazev is a former WBO Oriental and Russia cruiserweight champ.
Chinese boxers Wang Jian and Jiang Gao will dispute the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth super bantamweight title. This belt was previously held by Jhack Tepora of the Philippines, who is now the WBO Oriental super bantamweight titlist.
Jian and Gao both made the division limit of 122lbs.
Ge Wenfeng and Thai Petchtae Petchyindee will fight for the WBO China National bantamweight title.
The Thursday weigh-in was supervised by the WBO headed by VP for Asia-Pacific Leon Panoncillo and Executive Board Member Danny Leigh, who also oversaw the rules meeting with PBC,INTL. Exec. Secretary Maggie Wei Na.
The fights will be held at the Suzhou Sports Center Friday.
