GENSAN?S BRAWL AT THE MALL: PETALCORIN AND GARDE MAKE WEIGHT

Sanman boxer Randy Petalcorin, a former WBA interim light flyweight world titlist, is set for his first fight in Gen. Santos City in more than five years when he takes on Arnold Garde this December 4 at the Robinson?s Mall Atrium.

They will dispute the vacant IBF Pan Pacific light flyweight title in the boxing show billed as the ?Brawl at the Mall: Return of Gensan?s Finest?. Petalcorin was at the division limit of 108 lbs while Garde weighed 107 lbs during the official weigh-in held Saturday.

Another fine southpaw from Gensan, Eden ?Mr. Showboat? Sonsona, will be pitted against Jaime Barcelona in a non-title contest. Sonsona was at 134lbs, Barcelona at 131lbs.

This fight card will also showcase the deep talent of the Sanman gym.

Also set for action are : Reymart Gaballo ? 126lbs vs Jerson Luzarito ? 132lbs - 8rounds, John Vincent Moralde 125lbs vs. Joas Aparicio 125lbs - 8rounds, Mike Plania 122lbs vs JP Macadumpis 121lbs - 8rounds, Lolito Sonsona vs Jetly Purisima ? 8 rounds, Ben Mananquil 119lbs vs Romulo Ramayan 118, Jayson Mama 110lbs vs Jade Yagahon 105lbs - 6rounds and Romero Duno 135 lbs vs Gabby Simpo 130lbs 6rounds.

Sanman Promotions CEO Jim Claude Manangquil informed philboxing of the weigh-in results.

Petalcorin?s last appearance in Gensan was on June 11, 2011 when he knocked out Thai Yodchingchai Sithkonnapha in one round. Garde has won his last four fights, two by the short route.
