Unbeaten junior lightweight prospect Harmonito dela Torre will make his second appearance in the United States this November 11 at the WinnaVegas Casino and Resort in Sloan, Iowa.
Dela Torre (18W-0L,12KO?s) will now face Jose Luis Araiza (31W-18L-2D,22KO?s) of Mexico in an non-title eight rounder. Dela Torre was supposed to fight Frank Trader of Philadelphia.
Sanman Promotions CEO Jim Claude Manangquil informed philboxing that Trader pulled out two weeks ago due to broken nose in sparring. The 37 year old Araiza accepted the fight on short notice a little more than a week ago.
Last May, Dela Torre made his U.S. debut and won by majority decision against Guillermo Sanchez in New York. The 22 year old Dela Torre has spent time training in Florida. Two years ago, he beat Isack Junior of Indonesia by KO in the fourth round for the WBF world super featherweight title in Gen.Santos City. Dela Torre is keen on sharpening his skills and going after tougher competition in the U.S.
